I'm Kaycee Dammann and welcome to my website. I am an instructional technologist and a highly qualified teacher, certified in Mathematics, History, Social Studies, and Political Science. I graduated from Heritage High School in 2003. After high school, I attended Saginaw Valley State University and graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics Teacher Education in 2008. The following August, I began teaching at Richfield Public School Academy, teaching seventh and eighth grade math. I worked in this position for 5 years, growing as an educator and improving myself professionally. I was very involved in the school serving on many committees and being involved in extracurricular activities.
In 2010, I began working on my master's degree. I earned my M.A. in Instructional Technology in May, 2014. During my studies, I began implementing technology more purposefully and directly into my classroom. The following July, I was hired by the Swan Valley School District as the 21st Century Instructional Technology Coach after the district had decided to go 1:1. The district has put an iPad in the hand of every student, teacher, and administrator. I have been directly involved in designing the distribution and collection of the iPads to teachers and students, developing and implementing the necessary structures and protocols within the district, training of stakeholders in using the tool instructionally, leading professional development, collaborating with staff, and much more.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Mark. We reside in Freeland with our children, Reid and Emelia, and Wheaten Terrier named Cooper. To learn more about me, please visit the "More About Kaycee" page, found by selecting the button below.
